Your questions, answered

It may be an option for mild or moderate degeneration and some more advanced joint and spine conditions. Dr. Derrington considers your symptoms, examination and imaging to help you understand your options.

A recommendation for surgery is a reason to understand your options. Dr. Derrington can evaluate whether regenerative treatment is worth considering for your condition or whether surgery is the more appropriate next step.

Generally, regenerative procedures aren’t covered by health insurance, although some employers offer coverage through Regenexx benefits. Your consultation may still be covered.

Dr. Derrington’s recommendation starts with your diagnosis, your goals and the activities you want to return to, not just what your insurance plan will cover. Paying directly lets you consider regenerative treatment options your plan may exclude. The goal is less pain, less reliance on pain medication and avoiding surgery when possible.
